PE Limited (Petex), the global standard of oil and gas field modelling since 1990, has donated 10 licenses of the MOVE suite to the Department of Geological Sciences at the College of Natural Sciences for academic research and education.

The MOVE suite is an industry-standard integrated platform for geological modelling and structural analysis. The software package includes advanced modules for 2D/3D Kinematic Modelling, Geomechanical Modelling, Fracture Modelling, Fault Response Modelling, Fault and Stress Analysis, and Move Link for Petrel, OpenWorks, and GST. The total value of the donated licenses is estimated at £1,928,384.01 (approximately KRW 3,800,000,000).

This donation from Petex provides a great opportunity for our students to work with industry-standard tools. By using the MOVE suite, they can develop essential skills in 3D geological modelling and data analysis. This support will be very helpful in training future geoscientists at Pusan National University.
